About Our Donation Sectors

Hispanic Outreach Center

The Hispanic Outreach Center serves Hispanic families with limited English proficiency, with individual advocacy, counseling, crisis intervention and referral. The increasing Hispanic community with different capacities and education levels, experiences low income, food shortages, housing problems, language barriers, minimal access to health and mental health services. The Hispanic Outreach Center is committed to the education and integration of Hispanic families in the mainstream.

Youth Leaders Program

The Youth Leaders Partnership funds offer students the opportunity to empower and succeed in their education with the support of their parents. A generous donation to this program will allow our students access to a better education. In this way, students will participate in leadership activities and academic growth to guarantee their future. It is time to contribute and support our youth and families. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Food Pantry Donation English / Spanish

The Food pantry provides access to culturally appropriate foods for our students and families. This initiative helps to serve families who struggle with food access, food insecurity and hunger. Donations to this program will help to continue serving our families and ensuring their wellbeing. This program is run by the students, which helps to reduce stigma, create ownership, empowerment, and create leadership through this fund. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Cabe Cazares Scholarship

This scholarship was an initiative of a Saint Petersburg College student that brought the idea to Maria Edmonds, one of the founders of our organization. It was established by the Intercultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Leadership Council to honor the memory of Gabe Cazares, the first and only Hispanic Mayor and County Commissioner in Pinellas County. The Priority is given to students of Hispanic ethnicity continuing education at Saint Petersburg College.

Learn with Your Child

HOC provides a safe environment where children enjoy every minute and get ready for school. Great experience to share with their parents teaching them to apply at home in the day to day routine, and what to expect when their child enters kindergarten.

Goal:

To start interaction with other children and obtain an education experience early to get ready for school.

Jewelry & Craft Program

Our Goal:

For ladies to improve their skills, self-esteem and confidence while increasing their happiness, financial freedom and independence.

Jewelry program contributes to a healthy, happy, empowered, unified, stable, and non-violent community, where everyone respects each other and love what they do.

How:

Jewelry Program has been created with these goals. It will continue to make the ladies improve their life opportunities throughout their capacities and skills.

The HOC wants to have a strong community where every woman can learn new skills using their talents and creativity. They are able to contribute positively to society at the same time as learning how to use the English language. The Jewelry, arts and craft classes also support to develop and express those talents, showing them in the Christmas and local fairs.
