The Board of Directors of the InterCultural Advocacy Institute is pleased to announce our new Chief Executive Officer.

The Board of Directors of the InterCultural Advocacy Institute is pleased to announce that it has selected Amanda Markiewicz as our new Chief Executive Officer. Through the Hispanic Outreach Center, the InterCultural Advocacy Institute in Clearwater, reaches out, provides services, and supports to the Hispanic community across Pinellas County.

Amanda Markiewicz is a native Floridian who graduated from the University of South Florida with a focus in gender studies, psychology, and public health. Over the last decade she has worked in Pasco County providing advocacy and executive level leadership to a certified domestic and sexual assault center.

Her professional background is working with vulnerable youth, underserved populations, community mobilization, empowerment-based advocacy, and trauma informed care. Her personal objectives are combating social justice issues, empowering individuals to create change across social ecological frameworks and shifting how we culturally and socially view and respond through education, awareness and service provisions to public health concerns such as social marginalization, impacts of social determinants of health, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
