DONATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
How long does it take for my charity to receive my gift?
Donations are confirmed as soon as the credit card is processed. The confirmation you receive at the end of your donation is sufficient to serve as a receipt for tax purposes. Please keep it for your records.
Is my donation safe and secure?
Our website security is provided by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a recognized authentication and encryption software. In other words, the site becomes locked while you are giving us your information and unlocks only when you leave the secured area, and your number is “encrypted” so it is unreadable to anyone outside the transaction process. Will you protect my privacy?
InterCultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Outreach Center guarantees that we will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone outside InterCultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Outreach Center. Please read more in our Privacy Policy.
Can I checkout without creating a Paypal account?
Yes, you can—simply click the “Pay with a debit or credit card, or PayPal Credit” button during checkout and skip the registration process. If you want to set up a monthly recurring donation just click the box next to the Amount area.
Will I receive a donation confirmation?
Once your donation has been processed, InterCultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Outreach Center will send you a receipt via email. All donations made through InterCultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Outreach Center also appear on your credit card statement or Paypal account if that option is used.
What are the advantages of donating online?
InterCultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Outreach Center provides detailed information about our organization. You can make multiple donations , donate anonymously and set-up recurring donations.
How much of my donation goes to my charity?
More than 97 cents of every dollar you donate goes to our organization. Only 2.9 percent is deducted to cover processing costs.
Can I make a donation over the phone?
InterCultural Advocacy Institute and the Hispanic Outreach Center processes only online Credit Card donations to keep our costs down and pass on the greatest amount to our organization. If you wish to pay by check you can mail your donation to:

Can I make a donation as a gift in memory of someone?
Fill in the name of a friend or loved one who has passed away on the form as well as the note box on the checkout process.
Is there a minimum donation amount?
Yes, but that minimum donation is an affordable ten dollars. And, of course, we accept donations of any amount above the minimum.
Are my donations 100% tax deductible?
InterCultural Advocacy Institute is tax-exempt and your donation is fully deductible to the full amount allowed by law.
Note: Not all donations can be claimed as charitable deductions, even if the organization is registered as a nonprofit. Check with the IRS on whether or not an organization can receive charitable deductions.
Charitable Events: For a charitable event, only a portion of the ticket value is deductible. The charity hosting the event will be able to identify the exact value of the benefits for each event.
What if I have a problem making a donation?
If you have any problems or questions, please email us, and we will help resolve the problem.
Can I cancel a donation?
All donations made through InterCultural Advocacy Institute are not refundable. However, if for some reason there is an error on your credit card, please email us, and we will help resolve the problem.
